- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups strong coffee
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot milk
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- salt, 3 grains
- 2 egg yolks
- whipped cream
Directions

1Soften the gelatin in the cold water.

2Beat the egg yolks and add the salt. Slowly add yolk and salt mixture to the hot milk and coffee. Cook mixture for 5 minutes. Stir in gelatin.

3Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff, but not dry. Fold beaten egg whites into the coffee mixture. Add vanilla.

4Turn into mold. Refrigerate to stiffen.

5Serve with whipped cream.
