- 3 cups sugar
- 12 lb butter, softened
- 7 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour, sifted twice
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions

1DO NOT turn oven on yet.

2Butter and flour a 10-inch tube pan.

3Cream together sugar and butter.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5Mix in half the flour.

6Add the whipping cream.

7Add the other half of the flour.

8Add vanilla.

9Pour batter into prepared pan.

10Set in cold oven and turn heat to 350.

11Bake for 60 to 70 minutes (until a sharp knife inserted in cake comes out clean).

12Cool in pan for five minutes before removing.
