  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon extract

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time; add remaining ingredients.

    Place in cold oven set at 325° for 1 hour.

    Turn up to 350° for 1/2 hour.

    Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes.

    Turn over and remove from pan.
