  • 2 sticks whipped oleo
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon or almond flavoring

Directions

    Whip together the whipped oleo, Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time and beat into mixture.

    Add remaining ingredients. Mix all together.

    Grease and flour a tube cake pan.

    Start in cold oven at 300° for 30 minutes, then at 325° for 50 minutes more (one hour and 20 minutes in all).
