- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream margarine and Crisco.

2Add sugar, then eggs, one at a time.

3Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

4Beat until creamy or well mixed.

5Add flavorings and continue to beat 2 to 3 minutes.

6Put in cold oven.

7Do not preheat oven.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
