- 3 c. flour (plain)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks margarine
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Cream sugar, Crisco and margarine with eggs until smooth.

2Add salt to flour along with baking soda.

3Mix alternately with flour mix until all used.

4Beat until smooth, adding the flavorings. Grease and flour a tube pan.

5Pour batter in pan; place in cold oven.

6Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

7Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out on cake plate.
