  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Cream sugar, Crisco and margarine together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
  4. 4
    Add flavorings. Place in a cold oven and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Use a 10-inch tube pan.
