- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond
Directions

1Sift flour, measure and sift two times.

2Cream margarine and Crisco.

3Add sugar and cream well.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

5Add flour and milk alternately.

6Begin with flour and end with flour.

7Add flavoring.

8Beat at slow speed. Bake in greased tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

9Start in cold oven.

10This does not use baking powder.

11May use 2 teaspoons vanilla instead of almond.
