- 3 large bunches collards
- 1/4 lb. salt pork
- 1/4 lb. hog jowl
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- salt and seasoned pepper to taste
- pinch of crushed red pepper
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Wash collards thoroughly. Remove stems and tear leaves into small pieces.

2Place collards, meat, onion, garlic and seasonings in large pot.

3Add about 4 cups water, more if necessary.

4Cook slowly about 2 hours or until greens and meat are tender.
