- 2 lb. collards
- 1 3/4 lb. ham hock
- 1 gal. water
- salt
Directions

1Cut off and discard tough stems and discolored leaves from collards.

2Wash greens thoroughly.

3Combine ham hock and water in Dutch oven; bring to a boil and cook 15 to 30 minutes.

4Add collards; cover and cook at low boil for 1 1/2 hours.

5Season to taste with salt.
