  • 4 qt. popcorn (two bags microwaved)
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. Karo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Spread popcorn in large shallow pan. In a heavy pan, stir together sugar, margarine, Karo and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Continue cooking, without stirring, 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

    Pour over popcorn.

    a 250° oven, uncovered, 1 hour, stirring 3 or 4 times.

    Break apart when cool. Store in tightly closed container.
