- 1 or 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) medium egg noodles
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can (1 lb. 1 oz.) tomatoes
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms
- Velveeta cheese slices
Directions

1Put a tablespoon of oil in heavy skillet.

2Place over medium heat

3and add the beef and cook, tossing and breaking up with a fork, until the beef is lightly browned.

4Add onions, green pepper and seasonings and continue cooking until golden brown. Meanwhile, cook the noodles in plenty of boiling water until tender.

5Drain thoroughly, then mix with tomato soup, tomatoes and the drained mushrooms.

6Grease a 2-quart casserole and arrange half the noodle and beef mixture in bottom.

7Top with thin cheese slices.

8Add the remaining noodles and beef mixture and top with cheese.

9Bake at 375° about 45 minutes.

10Can be made ahead of time, freezes well.
