  • 3/4 c. dried lentils, rinsed and drained
  • 4 c. water
  • 1/2 lb. Polish sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 c. onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 medium tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

    Combine lentils and water.

    Let soak 45 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Cover and cook at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or 30 minutes in microwave.
