  • 2 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton (1 1/2 c.) cream-style cottage cheese
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. mace
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves
  • 2 c. soft bread cubes (3 slices)
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. whole cranberry sauce
  • 2 egg whites

Directions

    In large mixing bowl, combine egg yolks, cottage cheese, milk, 1/2 cup of the sugar, the butter or margarine, allspice, mace, cloves and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

    Stir in bread cubes and raisins. Turn into 8 x 1 1/2-inch round baking dish.

    Spoon cranberry sauce atop.

    Beat egg whites until peaks form (tips curl over). Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup sugar, beating until stiff peaks form (tips stand straight).

    Spread over cranberry sauce. Bake in 325° oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
