  • 1 cut up chicken
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms or 1 can
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp. thyme
  • 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
  • Burgundy or red cooking wine

Directions

    Brown chicken in oil (enough to coat pan) at medium heat.

    In separate pan, brown mushrooms and onions in a little margarine. Season chicken with salt and pepper.

    Pour onions and mushrooms over chicken.

    Sprinkle on thyme until you can smell it.

    In empty frypan, empty soup and fill can with wine.

    Combine soup and wine over low heat.

    Pour over chicken and simmer for 45 minutes. Serve over rice.
