Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 6 weiners
  • 6 hot dog buns, toasted
  • Cheddar cheese
  • chopped onion
  • pickle relish

Directions

    Cook beef, onion and pepper until meat is brown.

    Drain; stir in sauce, beans, chili powder and sugar.

    Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook 5 to 8 minutes.

    Cook weiners as usual.

    Place weiner in toasted bun and top with meat mixture.

    Top with choice of cheese, onion and/or relish.
