  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 lb. pkg. light brown sugar
  • 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt margarine and add sugar; cool slightly.

    Add eggs, one at a time; beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips.

    Bake in a 10-inch square pan in 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes.

    Cool and cut into 2-inch square bars.
