  • 2/3 c. oleo
  • 1 lb. box brown sugar (2 c. packed)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 to 1 c. nutmeats

    Melt oleo.

    Mix in brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.

    Beat.

    Sift and add the flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add chocolate chips and nutmeats.

    Spread on greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 1-inch pan or larger.

    Bake at 325° for about 2 minutes.

    Watch closely and do not overbake.
