Ingredients
- 2-3/4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 pound Light Brown Sugar
- 2/3 cups Butter, Softened
- 3 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 11-1/2 ounces, weight Package Milk Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Chopped Pecans (optional)
Directions

1Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Set aside.

2Stir brown sugar into softened (not melted) butter in another large bowl until butter disappears. You can use the back of your spoon to help incorporate the two together.

3Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture and stir well after each egg.

4Add vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well.

5Add dry flour mixture and stir until well combined.

6Coat a 13 x 9 pan with nonstick spray and spread batter evenly into the dish.

7Bake at 350 degrees for 30 -40 minutes or until top is golden brown. Make sure you don't over bake. Insert a toothpick to check for doneness.

8Note: You can swap out m&ms, peanut butter or butterscotch chips and play with different flavors. If the top starts to get too brown before they are done, place a sheet of aluminum foil over the top to prevent browning.
