  • 1 14 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine, softened
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 34 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 34 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Heat oven to 350 degrees; grease and flour 9 inch square baking pan.

    In a small bowl stir flour, baking powder, and salt to mix well; set aside.

    In a large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat eggs and vanilla in thoroughly.

    Reduce speed to low; beat in flour mixture just until blended.

    Fold in coconut, chocolate chips, and walnuts.

    Spoon batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly; bake 25 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool cake in pan on wire rack; cut into 4 x 1 1/4 inch bars to serve.
