  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Directions

    Melt shortening in pan.

    Turn off.

    Stir in brown sugar and cool.

    Beat in eggs one at a time until well mixed.

    Add dry ingredients, chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

    Mix well (dough will be thick).

    Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan which has been greased and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.
