- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. nuts
Directions

1Melt shortening in pan.

2Turn off.

3Stir in brown sugar and cool.

4Beat in eggs one at a time until well mixed.

5Add dry ingredients, chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

6Mix well (dough will be thick).

7Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan which has been greased and bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.
