  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 1 lb. light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 pkg. chocolate pieces (12 oz.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt butter and sugar; cool.

    Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add to mixture.

    Mix in nuts and chocolate pieces.

    Bake in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes in 350° oven.

    Cut in baking bars when slightly cool.
