- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening, melted
- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions

1In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt.

2Set aside.

3In a large mixing bowl, combine melted shortening and sugar.

4Stir until well mixed.

5Let cool slightly.

6Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

7Add flour mixture and blend.

8Stir in nuts and chocolate morsels.

9Pour into greased 10 x 15-inch pan.

10Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

11When almost cool, cut into 2-inch squares.

12Yields 48 squares.
