- 2 lb. stew meat, in 1-inch cubes
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 c. water
- 2 large potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/4 c. Wheaties cereal, crushed
Directions

1Melt shortening; cook meat and onions until meat is brown and onions tender.

2Add water, boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
