  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Directions

    Measure sugar, cold water and unbeaten egg into top of double boiler.

    Place over rapidly boiling water and commence beating at once.

    Beat until light and fluffy and holds its shape, about 7 or 8 minutes.

    Remove from fire and continue beating until thick.
