- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon finely minced garlic
- 1 1/2 cups raw rice
- 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste, if desired
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
Directions

1Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the onion and garlic.
