  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Sift together flour and sugar.

    Boil together cocoa, butter, water and Crisco oil.

    Pour over sugar and flour.
  4. 4
    Stir well and add buttermilk, eggs (slightly beaten), salt, soda and cinnamon. Mix well. Pour in greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

    Start making icing 5 minutes before cake is done.
