  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar and salt.

    Heat oleo, cocoa and water, but do not boil.

    Add this to flour mixture.

    Mix soda and buttermilk and add to other mixture.

    Add eggs and vanilla.

    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for approximately 20 minutes.
