Ingredients
- 2 lb. chicken parts
- 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
- 1/3 c. Burgundy or other dry red wine
- 4 oz. can button mushrooms, drained
- 8 small whole white onions (about 1/2 lb.)
- 1 medium bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves, crushed
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1In skillet, brown chicken in butter.

2Add broth, wine, mushrooms, onions and seasonings.

3Cover; cook over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender.

4Stir occasionally.

5Remove bay leaf. Gradually blend water into flour until smooth.

6Slowly stir into sauce.

7Cook, stirring until thickened.

8Makes 4 servings.
