- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. yellow corn meal
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 5 Tbsp. cooking oil
Directions

1Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.

2Mix in corn meal.

3Blend until mixed.

4Put egg, milk and oil in bowl and beat until smooth.

5Pour in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 425°.
