  • 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. melted fat or oil

Directions

    Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.

    Mix together milk and egg; add fat.

    Add mixture to cornmeal mixture.

    Stir to mix. Grease baking pan.

    Fill half full.

    Bake in oven preheated 425° for about 25 minutes or until browned.
