- 2 c. corn meal (self-rising)
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Preheat well-greased heavy 8 or 10-inch skillet and cover lightly with corn meal.

2Stir sugar into corn meal.

3Stir beaten egg and vegetable oil into milk.

4Mix all ingredients; pour into skillet and bake in 425° oven, preheated, 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
