- 2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix (white)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 c. whole milk
- 1/4 c. bacon grease (hardened) or all-purpose shortening
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Grease iron skillet.

3In large bowl, mix corn meal, eggs, milk and hardened bacon grease or all-purpose shortening.

4Pour into iron skillet.

5Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.

6Best eaten while hot with butter.
