  • 1 1/2 c. corn meal
  • 1 stick margarine (or butter)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Combine corn meal, sugar and salt.

    Mix well and add boiling water and margarine.

    Cook until thick in a pan.

    Remove the mixture from heat.

    Add milk, eggs and baking powder and mix well. Bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 1 hour.

    Remove from heat and set to cool 20 minutes before cutting.
