  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. meal (white plain)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • buttermilk
  • dash of soda

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except butter.

    Add buttermilk to have ingredients not too thick.

    Melt butter in Pyrex dish (oblong). Pour half of melted butter in mixture.

    Pour in baking dish.

    Bake at 400° to 500° until light brown.
