- 1 c. flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Mix together the first 5 ingredients.

2Mix in the milk, egg and melted shortening.

3Spoon into shallow pan (8-inch square). Bake for 20 minutes, until lightly browned and all edges let go. Set oven at 425°.
