- 3 qt. (12 c.) corn bread crumbs
- 1 c. butter
- 1 medium onion
- 3 large stalks celery
- poultry seasoning to taste
- sage to taste
- thyme to taste
- salt to taste
- 1 c. fat skimmed from turkey
- 4 c. broth
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Heat broth and milk together; don't boil.

2Heat fat in large saucepan.

3Add flour to make smooth paste.

4Add hot broth slowly. Cook over low heat until very thick.

5Beat eggs.

6Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs.

7Beat in and add all to broth.

8Cook 3 to 4 more minutes.

9(Optional:

10add ground giblets.)

11Put in buttered dish layered:
-
121/2 dressing mixture, 1/2 thickened broth, 1/2 dressing and 1/2 broth.

13Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
