- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. water
- 1 extra large egg or 2 medium ones, lightly beaten
- 1/4 c. oil
Directions

1Grease muffin pans or an 8-inch skillet.

2Preheat oven to 400°.

3In medium mixing bowl, sift together corn meal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.

4Add buttermilk and water; stir until smooth.

5Stir in egg and oil, just until all ingredients are blended.
