- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions

1Measure flour and sift baking soda, salt and baking powder. Mix with corn meal.

2Combine oil, honey and eggs.

3Add buttermilk, mixing well, and combine with dry ingredients.

4Beat only until smooth.

5Fill well oiled 8 x 8-inch shallow pan 1/2 full.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done.
