Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 pkg. Durkee taco seasoning (1 1/8 oz.)
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained (12 oz.)
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 1 pkg. corn muffin mix (8 1/2 oz.)
- 1 can Durkee French fried onions (2.8 oz.)
- 1/3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2In skillet brown meat; drain.

3Stir in taco seasoning, water, corn, green pepper and tomato sauce.

4Pour into 2-quart casserole.

5In a separate bowl prepare muffin mix according to directions, adding 1/2 can of the onions.

6Spoon muffin mixture around outer edge of the casserole.

7Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.

8Top corn bread with cheese and remaining onions. Bake 2 to 3 minutes longer.

9Serves 6.
