Ingredients

  • 1 c. Bisquick or 1 c. self-rising flour with 1/4 c. Crisco cut in
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 can chilies
  • 1 pkg. Monterey Jack cheese, grated (if use with jalapenos, omit chilies)

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except cheese.

    Pour half of mixture into a greased casserole dish (deep).

    Add half of the chilies and grated cheese.

    Layer with rest of corn mixture; top with chilies and cheese.

    Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes, or until top is golden and center is set.
