- 6 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 4 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. diced potato
- 1 large can creamed corn
- 1 large can evaporated milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1In kettle, fry bacon until crisp.

2Remove from pot and reserve.

3Pour off all but 3 tablespoons fat.

4Add onion and saute until tender (5 minutes).

5Blend in flour.

6Add water and potato. Bring to a boil and simmer about 15 minutes.

7Add corn and milk; heat well.

8Crumble bacon and add to chowder.

9Season to taste.
