Ingredients

  • salt pork
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 or 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 can (1 lb.) cream-style corn
  • 1 can (1 lb.) whole kernel corn
  • 1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. whole milk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Cook salt pork in bottom of kettle.

    Add onions, potatoes and water.

    Simmer 5 minutes.

    Add corn.

    Simmer 5 minutes longer. Stir in milk, butter, salt and pepper.

    Heat.

    Don't boil.

    Remove salt pork.
