- 4 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 c. cubed, pared potatoes
- 4 c. fresh corn, cut from cob if possible
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 2 c. milk
Directions

1In a large saucepan with cover, saute bacon.

2Add onion, potatoes and 1 cup of water.

3Simmer 10 minutes until tender, but not mushy.

4Remove cover and set aside.

5In saucepan with cover, simmer 10 minutes the corn, cream, sugar and butter.

6Add to potato mixture and add the remaining ingredients.

7Cook over low heat until heated.

8Do not boil.
