Ingredients

  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 3/4 c. yellow corn meal
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 5 or 6 wieners
  • oil for frying

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly; add milk, egg and oil. Stir until smooth.

    Cut each wiener into 5 pieces, dip in batter and fry in hot (deep) oil, until lightly browned.

    Drain on paper towels.
