  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 8 frankfurters

Directions

    Combine cornmeal, flour, salt and mustard.

    Stir in milk, egg and oil.

    Lightly roll each frank in additional flour, insert wooden skewer.

    Dip into cornmeal batter, coating evenly.

    Drain off excess.

    Fry in hot deep fat until golden brown.

    Drain and serve with catsup.
