- 1 can corn kernels, drain off liquid
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Mix corn, flour, baking powder and salt.

2Beat egg with the milk and add to corn mixture.

3Stir in the melted shortening.

4Drop by teaspoons in hot oil and cook 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown.

5Drain on paper towels.

6Top with powdered sugar, honey or syrup.
