- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. shortening, melted
- 3 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine all ingredients and mix well.

2Spoon into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan.

3Let stand 10 minutes.

4Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

5Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
