- 2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. corn meal
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
Directions

1In large saucepan warm, but do not boil, milk and slowly pour in corn meal.

2Cook until like mush.

3Dissolve active dry yeast in warm water; add sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and flour to corn meal mush mixture.

4Blend until smooth.

5Turn out on floured board. Knead 8 minutes; place in greased bowl.

6Let rise in warm place to double in size.

7Roll out to desired thickness.

8Cut with biscuit cutter.

9Place on sheet; let rise again.

10Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
