  • 4 or 5 slices bacon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. cut up cabbage
  • 1 c. cut fresh corn or canned whole kernel

    Fry bacon until crisp.

    Remove bacon; add water, sugar and salt to drippings and bring to boil.

    Add cabbage and corn.

    Cook quickly until tender, about 7 minutes.

    Sprinkle with paprika. Garnish with crisp bacon.
